a warm night
the sun sets outside
through the rear window
and a man with a hat
on a chair at his side
plays his guitar
opens his voice
and lets out his demons
bellowing
from the mountaintop
i leave a little early
so something remains
unsaid
and unknown
but i hear his echoes
over the traffic
as i find a way home.
